Jewish Renaissance in Israel through Ritual

By Esteban Gottfried

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), May 2006

The author offers several examples of the phenomenon of creating contemporary Israeli culture among the secular population that is in dialogue with the Jewish sources. He suggest that the Rabin assassination provoked a sensation that Judaism had been appropriated and left to the religious zealots, leading to a desire to reclaim the tradition and bring the sources closer to our lives.
