Addressing Life's Difficult Moments

By Mel Gottlieb

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), March 2009

The author urges that it is critical to expose rabbinical students to the professional skills that focus on crisis intervention and clinical pastoral education. He suggests adopting something similar to the American Medical Association's Continuing Medical Education (CME) plans for physicians, which aims to maintain and increase professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession.
