Doing God's Work in the Public Square

By Peter Knobel

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), November 2007

The author analyzes the relationship of Reform Judaism with liberalism. He argues that the challenge of liberalism for Reform Judaism is: Does it have a mission to impose on society through democratic means? He avers that liberalism gives us the opportunity to be religious activists in a pluralistic democratic society.
