Israel's Arms

By Yossi Melman

Josh Rolnick, The Sh'ma Institute, November 2009

The author asserts that Israel's behavior is problematic and controversial; it asks the world to take its security needs into consideration and portrays itself as the only democracy in the Middle East, yet behind the scenes it is involved in murky and dubious arms deals. With good intentions, Israel gave birth to an industry that unintentionally turned into what an uncontrolled beast that has to be fed.
