Don't Focus on Mitzvot

By Ezra Kopelowitz

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), October 2006

The author asserts that rather than wasting time on defining the ideology of Jewish peoplehood and investing precious resources in the marketing effort, why don't we look at how peoplehood is actually experienced? He argues that the common challenge is to make the experience of gaining Jewish knowledge and skills relevant to life after a particular program or event, and most everything else might fall into place.
