Some Aspects of Supervision-- Introductory Remarks

By Sonia Penn

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare, March 1949

This paper looks at certain aspects of supervision. The author asserts that it is possible to arrive at a common goal for supervision, which is to enable a worker to attain a profound knowledge of, and identification with, an agencyĆ¢??s service in addition to a psychological understanding of the individual client relation to that service. The piece suggests that some time be given to a discussion of the generics of the supervisory process as well a more focused and specific discussions on certain aspects of supervision.
