The Milwaukee Jewish communityĆ¢??s Welfare Fund, the central communal organization, is responsible for both fund raising activities and the social planning of the community. The Central Planning Committee provides the agencies with an opportunity to become better acquainted and more important to relate their problems and work to each other. The committee has been engaged in efforts to review its structure and program. Projects and studies undertaken include an over-all health survey of the Jewish community, the needs for health and medical service on the part of its people, the ability of the existing facilities to meet these needs, the place of Jewish facilities in the total community and the responsibility of the Jewish community to provide such facilities.
