Leadership on the National Stage

By Jerry W. Levin

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), Winter 2010

The author of this article is the chairman & CEO of JW Levin Partners LLC and past chair of the board at UJA-Federation of New York. He describes how in his family's move to New York, the UJA-Federation of New York provided the key context in which to focus his philanthropic energy and also to help his family socially adapt to our new environment. He states that his background in dysfunctional organizations helped him conclude that the global infrastructure of Jewish communal organizations had failed to change to keep pace with an ever changing world.
