Stop Waiting for Superman

By Kim Hirsh

Josh Rolnick, The Sh'ma Institute, February 2011

The author describes the efforts of her agency, the United Jewish Communities (federation) of MetroWest, NJ, to address the growing day school funding crisis and create a sustainable system of Jewish day schools for the entire community. The federation has coordinated a community-wide initiative to raise annual, endowment and long-term funds for three schools: a Modern Orthodox, a Conservative, and a community Jewish day school.
