Can a Leopard Change Its Spots?

By Shlomo Riskin

CLAL: the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, September 29, 1995

Shlomo Riskin argues that while he yearns for peace in Israel, he is angered by the actions of the Israeli government concerning the safety and treatment of the Israeli settler movement in the areas known as Judea and Samaria. He believes that the government of Israel has a fundamental responsibility to protect all of its citizens, whether they live in Israel proper or in disputed areas behind the green line.
