Feminism, a Cause Only for Conservatives

By Arlene Reba Pianko

Eugene Borowitz, September 6, 1974

The author responds to Rachel Adler's critique (immediately preceding this article) of her original article (Sh'ma 4/73, 3 May 1974). She reiterates her respect for Jewish women's desire to create rites for themselves, but states that these cannot be part of true (Orthodox) Jewish law. She also argues that Jewish law is not sexist.
